I'm sad to announce that I have to cease shipping to EU customers on August 7th 2026 12:00 due to the EU PPWR regulation. After that date, the only way to order from my Shop would be by using so-called parcel forwarders, where I ship to an address in Germany and the forwarding service forwards the shipment to you.
Nothing changes for german customers.
What is the PPWR?
The PPWR is the packaging and packaging waste regulation coming into effect on August 12th 2026. This regulation forces me to name a representative in each EU country. The representative takes care of registering produced packaging and paying the packaging licensing fees in the respective country. Being a very small business, there's no way I can afford the representative. The costs of doing so would greatly exceed the total revenue.
Outlook
I still hope that there will be an extemption for very small businesses at some point, but unfortunately, it's only a hope. It deeply saddens me that the EU always finds new ways of making small business survival harder.
